Filter Classification
- 3M 6055 – A2: Designed for higher-capacity protection against organic vapours with boiling points above 65°C.
- 3M 6059 – ABEK1: Provides broader protection against a range of gases and vapours, including organic vapours (A), inorganic gases (B), acid gases (E), and ammonia (K).
Best Suited For
- 3M 6055: Ideal for work involving solvent-based paints, varnishes, adhesives and resins, particularly when combined with suitable particulate filters.
- 3M 6059: Better suited to mixed chemical environments, including pesticide or weedkiller spraying, chlorine exposure, acid cleaning and ammonia-related tasks.
Capacity & Performance
- The A2 rating on the 6055 provides a higher capacity for organic vapours than the A1 rating found on the 6059.
